There is nothing quite like enjoying a tall glass of iced tea of those hot summer days. Unfortunately store bought ones contain all sorts of sugars that can wreak havoc with your energy, mood and skin!
This recipe uses the juice of peach and apple to sweetened the tea but you can also add in a teaspoon or two of raw honey. The ginger provides a nice little kick as well as a whole range of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
This recipe needs to be started a few hours ahead to allow the tea to steep and then cool but it is well worth the wait!
Healthy Homemade Peach, Apple & Ginger Iced Tea | MOD Appliances
A knob of ginger (size based on how much ginger you prefer)
2 tsp raw honey (optional)
Iced cubes and mint leaves for serving (optional)
Directions
Place your green tea bags into a large mason jar and pour in the boiling water. Allow to steep for roughly 5 minutes or until your desired strength is reached. Discard the tea bags.
Stir in the honey until dissolved and then place the mason jar in the fridge for a few hours to cool completely.
Meanwhile, using your MOD Cold Press Juicer, juice the peach, ginger and apple. Set this aside until your green tea has cooled completely.
Once your tea is chilled, add in the juice and sliced peach and apple. Give the drink a stir and a taste and adjust as necessary, adding in more honey if you want it sweeter, for example.
Garnish with a few ice cubes and mint leaves if desired!
